Just some quick sketching I did for the day

Another work created in Lockdown in Berlin. Drawn on a piece of drafting paper from an ingenieering student in Leipzig, 1923. Like the cellar it was found in, it expresses a longing to be outside. A longing to feel of use, a job to go to or someone to visit. It is confusion and patience drawn out thin and ready to snap at any moment.

I painted this one for a friends little boy. It’s a mixed media, some acrylic, marker and pastel.

Compressed charcoal, willow charcoal, graphite pencil and greyscale pastels, on paper (size A3).

Thought I need to let loose and try something different for once!

PLaying in the studio with watercolour paints and inks - created a planetarium of textural ideas - had great fun doing this and now plan to use some these effects in my next piece.
